“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.”

Galatians 2:20

  • Many of our brothers and sisters in uniform are in bondage. Bondage to trauma, depression, fear, substances. They are desperate for Godly leaders who will boldly proclaim hope and freedom in Christ.

    Will you answer the call?

The Shepherd's Initiative was birthed from a deep burden for godly first responders and military leaders to rise up, men willing to answer the call to lead and love those around to them.

In a culture that emphasizes mental health and wellness (a valuable gift), we also recognize a deeper need: godly shepherds who carry the light of Christ into dark places and truly help set captives free.

This initiative is a spiritual training ground for men called to shepherd. Together, we will dive into topics such as godly shepherding, the fear of the Lord, basic counseling and care skills, and how to faithfully study and apply Scripture.

Come ready to be challenged.
Come ready to lead.
Expect to leave strengthened, equipped, and encouraged to be a light in the places God has planted you.

The Christian life is not self-improvement, it is self-surrender.
We are not trying to polish the flesh or become “better versions” of ourselves.
We are learning to become vessels in whom Christ Himself lives and leads.

This retreat is designed for believers who are serious about following Jesus and shepherding others, men who desire to embrace the cross daily, not as an idea but as a way of life.

The world says, “Follow your heart.”
Jesus says, “Deny yourself.” The world says, “You do you.”
Jesus says, “Come and die… that you may live.”

This is not a vacation.
This is a formation experience, learning to die to self, serve others, and live unto Christ.
